I've searched the web and this forum and I could not find the answer I was looking for, so here's my question: If I wanted to use hides as clothing, how should I prepare it, braintanning?

There are many forums devoted to this subject on the web. I am surprised you did not stumble over one.

jump over to primitiveways.com or palioplanet. The nativetech board out of Florida State U also has good patterns and instructions.

Brain tan is always a good choice but there are other tanning methods that will work for you.
