tracker knife rip off

I was on Bud K a knife website looking at a few cheap bowies when I came across this tracker knife rip off they were calling a paratrax bowie. I actually like bud K their knives are really cheap but they work pretty well plus kingoftheflocks dad use to sell their stuff which is how I found out about them. It looks like a tracker knife but it has a cheap wooden handle thats hollow so you can put this small knife in it. They sell it at about $12.99 ( + $5.00 for the little knife) which is much cheaper than the $300 tracker. I guess that shape is becoming more popular in the knife world but why did they catagorize it as a bowie knife? I wonder how it would preform in the field It's stainless steel so It would probably dull quick.

I love it!!

Not the knife, the concept! I can get a replica of the $300 pos for only $12, or i can pay $15 and get 3 replicas, plus the little bitty knives for the handles!

At $5 ea. they are probably worth every penny you are paying, even if they only make viscious looking paperweights!

As far as the nomenclature goes, some folk call everything a Bowie. It has become a generic term, like Frigidaire or Coke.
OK, what's the other plan!

Here's a URL for some ideas of what the original Bowie knife looked like:

Does nothing for me. Might work okay in the jungle if it's heavy enough. Jim Bowie became famous as a knife fighter - I always figured there would be no winners in a knife fight - a good reason to carry a gun.

For survival, a good folder and something to saw with makes sense to me.

yea thats a good set up to have in the wilderness I like those multi tools that give you a good sharp blade and a nice saw blade on them.

its actually a piece of junk thin as a piece of cheap cardboard and the blade gets dull in 3 seconds. i had one at one point when my dad used to sell knives at the local flea market. i had it until lone behold, my mom decided to trash it.
