SANCTURARY

Time to start a new thread. This one will be going for quite some time, off and on.

I just signed a deal for a spot of land. The closing will be within 2 weeks. This will be my second retreat project. It is not wilderness survival, but it will be built with provisions for emergency living not being quite such an emergency. Sort of like extremely long term wilderness survival, with power tools.

There are three things that will make this build easier than my last one: water, sewer, electricity. In my first build I had none of the preceeding and spent a great deal of time working out the problems that resulted, also a great deal of money. I will be using some of the ideas Iincorperated in my old place and some I will discard.

Once again, I am starting a little cabin in the woods. I hope I am up to this. Last time was a decade ago, when I was not old.
OK, what's the other plan!

Post pictures of it during the building process

that sounds like a fun time. thats not sarcasm either, im pretty jealous. the only problem with me and building a house from the ground up is that i either wont finish it or ill screw something up and accidently light something on fire. all i can say is good luck.
