Poison Ivy Look-Alikes
There are several plants that resemble Poison Ivy in appearance.
Toothwort
Manitoba Maple (Box Elder).
For more information and photos of this tree please see the Ontario Trees & Shrubs website.
Raspberry.
For more information and photos of this shrub please see the Ontario Trees & Shrubs website.
Bladdernut (resembles poison Ivy only because it too has three leaves).
But Bladdernut has opposite leaves.
Fragrant Sumac. When rubbed, the leaves have a strong fragrance. Of course, this is no help in differentiating it from Poison Ivy! :)
See the Ontario Trees & Shrubs website for more info about this shrub.
